Evert Myhrman

Evert Myhrman was born and raised in Kristinehamn. He started drawing early, which led to scholarships for study abroad in Europe. After his studies, he got a job in Stockholm as studio manager for the central organization for Folkparkerna, a concept of public recreation spaces all over Sweden. In addition to Folkparkerna, it was mainly the entertainment industry that hired Evert Myhrman, among other things he devoted himself to theater painting for Ernst Rolf and Karl Gerhard’s revues.

His posters were usually colorful and he often used repetitions of the motif to give a picture of movement and diversity on stage. He was also known as a cartoonist and was a contributor to the magazine Våra Nöjen.
