Since the prohibition period, efforts have been made to work for sobriety with the help of posters. The dangers of liquor have traditionally been warned by a grim saying, with the devil lurking in the glass.
What was completely new about these posters from the 1950s and 1960s was the humor. Instead of a threatening tone and intimidation about ruination, there were bright colors and fun slogans.

In this poster, the slogan shouts in Swedish: ”New times – Sober habits” and it was used in the sobriety work in Finland during the 1960s.
