In 1944 the Swedish Lloyd Line announced a competition, and the artist Erik Heffer was quick to enter. His poster ”When you wish upon a star” won, and his prize was the respectful amount of 2 500 kr.
In 1952 the Swedish American Line announced a big poster contest. The contest activated almost 700 artists, both professionals and happy amateurs.
