This fabulous vintage poster advertises staycation in Sweden. It’s an excellent example of the Swedish Tourist Association’s insistence on their message. By every means possible – through posters, brochures, films and presentations – it tried to persuade Swedish tourists to travel within Sweden, still more than 50 years after their founding in the 1880s.
That message still rings true! Staycation is just a new word for an old trend.
The slogan Res i Sverige – Känn ditt land means Travel in Sweden – Know your country.
