Nils Bohlin was a journalist and an animator. He was the one who started with daily cartoons with comments in Gothenburg and in the summer of 1919, he was employed as the animator for the cover of the magazine at the paper Göteborgs-Tidningen.
A few year later he became a freelancer and delivered drawings and texts to different papers in the Gothenburg region.
The Bohlin family was and is very artistic. Nils’ sister was Dagny Bohlin who made wonderful paintings and was a teacher at the school Konstfack. Bohlin was married to the goldsmith Elsa Ekbohm. Their daughter Lisa Bauer became a skillful animator and glass artist. Her daughter again is the textile artist Lena Boije Anker.
Nils Bohlin was a friend of Evert Taube and according to the rumors they had joyful moments together. Nils Bohlin is represented at, among other, the Museum of Gothenburg.
