In the words of the artist:
My name is Lily Liljefors and I’ve grown up on Södermalm, in Stockholm. My family has always encouraged me to draw and express myself artistically. When I was younger I drew everything in my way, animals, plants, food or people. As I grew older my interest for design, painting and drawing grew. Last year when I graduated I knew that I wanted to go on to studying art and design. Today I study graphic design at Nyckelviksskolan. My dream is to pursue a career in graphic design or art in some way.
My childhood summers in the archipelago of Stockholm has had a big impact on my art. I take a lot of inspiration from animals, flowers and the nature around me. My father grew up by the sea and he has taught me everything about sea life and the archipelago. My fascination for the sea and waters movement has been central in my poster. My mother grew up in the countryside and she taught me everything about the forest. She taught me the names of flowers, birds, butterflies and mushrooms. My parents backgrounds and my childhood in Stockholms innovative and design minded city has thogheter given me my artstyle.
